The Bhutan Sorig Journal, an official publication of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine, Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan was launched by the university’s President, Prof Kinzang P Tshering. The launch coincided with auspicious zakar and the momentous 116th National Day of Bhutan.

At the launch, the Dean of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine, Prof Sangay Wangdi, outlined the vision of promoting research Sowa Rigpa (sorig in short) and making them accessible to readers across the world. In recent years, Bhutan has witnessed an increasing number of research in sowa rigpa and the adoption of evidence-based practice.

The President commended the Faculty for their commitment in the adoption of health research in both academic and clinical fields. With growing interest in sowa rigpa among patients and in the wellness industry, the journal should envision to make Bhutan one of the leading centres for collaboration with national and international partners.
