Coinciding with the celebration of 8th Foundation Day of Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan on 28-02-23, the Faculty of Traditional Medicine received an Award of Appreciation for progressive and significant achievement towards preservation and promotion of Sowa Rigpa from the Chief Guest, Her Excellency Lyonpo Dasho Dechen Wangmo, Minister, Ministry of Health.
Drungtsho Sangay Wangdi, Dean, Faculty of Traditional Medicine has been bestowed with an award of first ever instituted “President’s Award” for his exceptional leadership quality. Drungtsho received the Certificate & cash prize from Her Excellency Lyonpo Dasho Dechen Wangmo.
The best Employee Award for the year 2022 was also presented to the recipients as part of the celebration. Drungtsho Tendrel Wangdi, Dy. Dean, Student Affairs bagged the Best Faculty of the Year 2022 and Mr. Tempa Jamtsho, Sr. Technician was the Best Employee for the same year from the staff category.
