His Excellency the Finance Minister, Lyonpo Namgay Tshering graced the opening ceremony of futsal constructed at FoTM compound on 26/08/2021. Hon’ble Secretary, MoH also made his presence among other guests. The Marchang session followed by welcome speech by Dean initiated the ceremony program. His Excellency the Minister stressed on importance of having such facility under the faculty. “Having worked under the Health Ministry for many years, it’s my pleasure to work and interact with the health workers anywhere and anytime” His Excellency informed the floor. “We are determined to help with such proposal which will have both educational and health values” Lyonpo added. With the successful completion of the futsal ground, the trainees will have privilege to keep themselves engaged during leisure time. The exhibition match played between the Chief Guest and other Guests has drawn attention of all who has gathered to witness the match. Trainees were overjoyed with the successful completion of ground as they were deprived of such opportunity till date. The ground was constructed with financial support from Ministry of Finance and technical support from Engineering Section, KGUMSB.
